My handsome husband, YouTube nickname ItalyPaul, has been to Scotland three times. Around twenty years ago, he brings his mom, brother, and nephew on an unforgettable road trip there. Now, He's bringing me and you with him on his solo adventure in Scotland this May of 2025.
Honestly, he doesn't plan on road trip to Scotland; he is avoid the fight and slip away at the last minute. Driving to Scotland at night, especially on country roads with no streetlights, it can be challenging and seriously dangerous. Visibility decreases significantly, and factors like potholes, animals, and sleepy drivers increase the chances of accidents.ItalyPaul was thinking I was mad at him because I didn't answer his many calls. I usually leave my phone behind when I'm cooking or just chilling.
He rushed to some nearby hotels at the last minute, but they were all booked up. So, I quickly reserved the last available room for him at a hotel close by! I would say to the solo traveller, You’re so brave and willing to put yourself out there! It can be a challenge and potential risks, and that stepping outside comfort zone to travel alone requires a certain level of bravery.

He had cold drinks, sparkling mineral water, and crips with him too, but he didn't bother to film it since he wasn't really in the mood, so he didn't focus on every details.

ItalyPaul's managed to keep his expenses under £500 for his solo 3-day, 2-night road trip to Scotland, included the penalty of £110. A round trip means driving to a place and then coming back home. It took 20 hours, almost driving 1200 miles, and spent over £200 on fuel for range rover.
It's a 3-day, 2-night road trip. On the first day, ItalyPaul drove for over 10 hours straight for one way, without any sleep, which was pretty risky.
Last time, he drove to the Isle of Wigh, the coast of England. This time, a difference route, so not the same modes are involved. Now, Wick is a town in the Scottish Highlands, close to John o'Groats, which is what you’re seeing in this video.
He drove into the bus lane, he also passed through a low emission zone twice, which is basically a clean air zone. a half-price deal within 14 days in total's penalty £110. It's still too much and unexceptional. With a positive attitude, he learned a lesson about the penalty and he is now safely back home.
Thanks for watching! Hope you have a peaceful and relaxing weekend! Give this video a thumbs up if you liked it! Good bye.
