Pak choi is one of my all-time favourite vegetables! Growing it in a greenhouse helps protect the leaves from pesky insects. It's crunchy and absolutely delicious.
I used to buy it from the grocery store, but sometimes it had a bleach-like taste and was tough instead of crunchy, so I decided to grow my own.
When you purchase the seeds, there are clear instructions to follow step by step. I use a water spray made from soaked garlic and chili or only a dish soap mixed with water to keep the insects away—no chemical sprays for me!
Growing my own vegetable is so much healthier. Plus, you can let one plant flower and collect the seeds when they’re fully dried to plant it again next year. It truly brings me joy to grow my favourite vegetables and cook with them!
I absolutely love the harvest season! All the vegetables you see were gathered in just five rounds. It might seem like a lot, but we truly enjoy putting them all together in one dish with some fluffy rice; that’s plenty for us, and it fills us with happiness.
I get so excited when harvest time comes around! After picking the pak choi, I rinse it under running water, sprinkle some sea salt, let it soak for a few minutes, and then drain it.
Let me share two difference ways to prepare pak choi. First, heat a pan, add some oil and minced garlic, and stir until it’s fragrant. Then, a pinch of sea salt, pak choi, and some scallops. Cover with a lid, add water, oyster sauce, sugar, and dark soy sauce, and stir until everything is cooked through but not overdone. Sprinkle some fried shallots and serve it with fluffy rice.
For the second method, heat oil in a small saucepan, add minced garlic (saving some for later use), then mix in oyster sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, and water. Stir it well and sit it aside to pour over the pak choi later.
During Autumn, We headed to Tesco and purchased these huge chestnut. Creating delicious and nutritious snacks at home using a rice cooker is incredibly easy! It has turned into one of my go-to chestnut treats at home.
Start by placing a 400g a bag of chestnuts in a rice bowl pan, which I got for £2.50 with my club card price. Rinse them thoroughly under running water and soak them for about 30 minutes. This will help soften the shells, making them easier to cut. I recommend using chestnut clip for this task instead of a knife.
Just set the chestnut on its flat side, give it a little press, and voilΓ ! Your chestnut is perfectly scored and all set for roasting. No need for knives or any risky finger movements.
Start by rinsing the uneven shells well, then fill a pot with water so that it completely covers the chestnuts. Put the pot in the rice cooker and set it to steam for 30 minutes. After that, press the button again for another 30 minutes. Once done, pour out the water, rinse the chestnuts again, and let them drain thoroughly.
(Helpful tips: The rice cooker should steam for a minimum of 45 minutes, while the dry toast with honey needs at least 15 minutes).
Mix in 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar, and then toast them for about 15 minutes to 30 minutes before finishing, stir them occasionally to achieve a caramel flavour and a nice toasted look.

This video showcases our two-night stayed in the junior suite at Timhotel Tour Eiffel, along with some convenience local spots like cafes, a bakery, a florist, and a fruit shop.
The views of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony are stunning, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and budget-friendly.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Timhotel Tour Eiffel, where I reserved the junior suite, only the 1 junior suite room available at the hotel, which made securing a booking quite difficult.
I monitored the website weekly in the lead-up to our vacation, and I distinctly remember that on January 1st, following Christmas and New Year, I was able to select the junior suite. However, it was always fully booked there.
The cost for 2 nights €438 which is a great value given the price, the prime location, and the breath-taking views of the Eiffel Tower from the balcony.
When I have tasks to complete, I’m really not a fan of going on vacation. Is there anyone else who feels the same way? However, once everything is in order, it becomes time to unwind.
Since, I don't like going on holiday. Anyone else? I enjoy stayed at home more than going on vacations, and that’s definitely the case!
My main goal was to put in a ton of effort into experimented and created a new recipes nonstop, along with cooking and baking a bunch. I also focused on renovating my house to make it my dream home.
I rid of the old storage, set up a beautiful garden, designed a new kitchen, and built a glasshouse in the backyard. It took a lot of time, energy, and investment. Then. now. everything's settled.
I've got what I needed. I've made the choice to wrap up my emotional and challenging journey so I can prioritize loving myself first. Once I reach the age limit for IVF and start looking into adoption, I'll put together a video to share my story with everyone! :)
My husband has been to Paris nine times, which is three times more than I've been. I've visited Paris six times, and my latest trip was by far the best! I organized everything myself, from the daily itinerary to selecting our hotels, cafes, restaurants, and attractions.
I really enjoy taking the lead on our vacations, and my husband is always on board with my ideas. Every moment of this trip was a gem. I'm super excited for my next adventure in Paris, and it’s coming up soon!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—I'm here to help!
We had an awesome 4-day, 3-night stay at the Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel. It’s just a short 3-minute stroll to a large grocery store and shopping mall, plus you can find tons of bakeries and restaurants in under 10 minutes. The location is super convenient! If you're looking for affordable 4-star hotels in Paris with views of the Eiffel Tower, this place is definitely a top pick.
Many of our subscribers have been curious about the costs of flights and hotels from our 7 -day Paris trip, so I figured it would be helpful to show the flight and hotels confirmation receipt on the video.
We're not located in London, flights from the North East UK can get pretty expensive. Our trip from Humberside to Paris cost us £623.60 and we also had to pay a total of £120 in modification fees.
We kicked off our trip with 3 nights at the Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel €523.23 then moved to a Junior Suite at Timhotel Tour Eiffel for 2 nights €438 and wrapped things up with a night at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel €550.05. = Total €1511.26, 4 Stars Hotels with Eiffel Tower views) where we had a balcony with an amazing view.
The hotels we picked were perfect for catching views of the Eiffel Tower and were super close to a grocery store, bakery, and restaurant. We really enjoyed using Uber to get to our favourite places to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus to check out the must-see spots in Paris.
I'll break down how much we spent on transportation like taxis and Ubers in total £360, as well as on foods and drinks at all the popular cafes and restaurants in total £1200. Check out my next video for 7-day itinerary to see the total costs involved. Stay tuned for the next video!
We had an amazing week in Paris, but it honestly felt like it went by in a flash! I'm planning to go back this year from December 25th to January to celebrate Christmas and welcome in the New Year of 2025.
There’s nothing quite as fulfilling as growing your own vegetables in the garden πππWhen you harvest your homegrown goodies, you’ll see what I mean π± It’s an entirely unique experience πππ₯°π₯°❤️π
The video clips were shot using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, so the lighting varies from yellow to white.
It took us a total of four and a half hours to drive, and now we've arrived in Manchester!
I am thrilled that we discovered Home Chinese Manchester.
The waitress who attended to us was fantastic! The dim sum menu looks new. Home Chinese Manchester that opened in March of last year, according to a quick Google search.
She spoke both Cantonese and Mandarin fluently, had a lovely smile, and was more than happy to take a lot of photos to get us in the mood and to help us stick to the feelings we want to capture. She is definitely a keeper, (keeper is something that is worth keeping) the customer service is important for the restaurant to make it's a warm and spacious atmosphere, filled with customers who appreciate Chinese culture—definitely a good sign!
A gentleman serves us with the steaming hot dim sum and provide the names of all the dishes, making the experience feel so polished and professional.
As a homemaker, a cook, a recipe developer and picky eaters. I must say this is the best dim sum I've ever had in Manchester.
I usually feel quite apprehensive about eating deep-fried food from outside due to the greasy flavour, but this place uses really fresh oil, and there’s no greasy or rancid taste whatsoever. It’s a genuinely chef.
You’ll notice that each serving is quite large, not tiny at all. Usually, we don’t eat a lot, but when we go out, especially for dim sum, we love to try as many as we can.
Only ''Siu Mai'' and ''Savory Meat Croquette'' is not my types. I expected crab inside since it was called crab meat siu mai, but it had some of pork fat which I'm not a fan of. Savory Meat Croquette I prefer dried shrimp and radish sliced included in the fillings, it will make it more flavourful. However, it's still not bad! For the entire dining experience. I rated it an 8 out of 10.
This Deep Fried Cuttlefish Cake is exceptional! It has a delightful soft and chewy texture, with a perfectly balanced flavor that is neither too salty nor too sweet. It truly tastes as if it were freshly prepared at home, evoking a sense of happiness.
The dim sum is outstanding and generous in portion sizes. Everything is freshly prepared to order, and the prices are incredibly reasonable!
Everything has been devoured except for the deep fried king prawn ''skin off'', because eating too many deep-fried foods can leave us feeling stuffed, so let's pass on that; it'll be just right. The Jasmine tea is wonderfully fragrant, and we really enjoy it as well. I'm really looking forward to coming back. highly recommend it!
We have explored various Chinese restaurants in and around China town, but none have left a lasting impression on us. Many seemed like tourist traps, prioritizing speed and quantity over quality. After that, we took a brief stroll to Chinatown to capture some footage featuring its iconic symbols.
Strangers come to me and say I look pretty even and they really love my outfit and my favourite brand bag, indeed, they go together perfectly. Plus, red is a traditional colour for good luck in Chinese culture!
The couple requested that we take their photographs and then they treat us the same way. This has been our signature pose, and it never ceases to be enjoyable, spanning from 2004 to the present day. If time permits, I plan to gather all the photos and videos and compile them. As we age, I hope we can continue this pose for another 20 years.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend. Please take care of yourselves :)
Here’s the list of dim sum dishes we ordered.
Deep Fried Cuttlefish Cake £7.00 Deep Fried King Prawn Roll £7.20 Savory Meat Croquette £5.50 Chinese Style Beef ball £5.50 Tripe with Ginger & Spring Onion £5.50 Siu Mai £5.50 Fried Dough Stick Cheung Fun £5.00 Jasmine Tea £2.00 Service charges £4.30
The Italian restaurant nearby, just a quick 6-minute walk from our hotel, has received excellent reviews on Google. Tonight is our first dinner in Paris.
The staff is friendly and accommodating. A bottle of beer costs only 6 euros, which is much cheaper compared to other restaurants and cafes.
We ordered a signature pasta dish and an Italian diavola pizza. The sauce was too much, the base was too wet, the cheese lacked flavor depth, and the salami was too salty.
The pasta had an overpowering taste of olive oil and garlic. Unfortunately, despite being very hungry, we did not enjoy our meals. The first few bites were okay, but then it became too salty and oily.
We have no complaints about the affordable food, even though it looks good. However, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in Paris.
Here's the receipt for our order. Please make a note of it. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the food is served hot. However, the pizza was too salty and the pasta was greasy, with flavors that didn't quite hit the mark.
When asked about the meal before leaving, I mentioned that it was too salty and greasy. The staff then suggested that we should have informed them earlier so they could replace any unsatisfactory dishes.
This is my honest review of this restaurant; it did not meet our expectations, so I choose not to give it a rating. We decided to go to a local grocery store instead to buy some snacks and fruits because we didn't eat much. Back at the hotel feeling tired. Oh, what a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower from our room.
Goodnight everyone! Sweet dreams!
Great dining option near the Eiffel Tower, just a quick 2-minute walk away. I searched for the best restaurant in the vicinity using Google and found the following information. (Le Bouchon Parisien has a rating of 9.3/10. The Fork users have rated it as follows: Food Quality: 9.3/10; Service: 9.4/10; Atmosphere: 9.1).
The service was top-notch, with a very friendly and attentive staff. No matter if you favour a comfortable terrace or an elegant interior, you are guaranteed to enjoy a fantastic dining experience.
The ambiance is lovely and relaxing, perfect for a meal in the heart of Paris. It's a good option if you're in the area, but be prepared for the cost and choose your dishes wisely.
The prices for beverages can be quite high, particularly for drinks. I found it astonishing that a 50 centiliter beer cost 12 euros for just one drink.
While the beef may not be the best quality, our French fries are a standout - perfectly crispy and delicious.
The food is decent overall, catering more towards tourists. The mussels are fresh and the wine sauce is creamy and flavourful.
One dish to avoid is the ribeye, as it was dry, burnt, and chewy. Not recommended.
My husband did not find pleasure in his beef dishes, so I suggested that he speak to the waiter after the first bite and request a different dish. However, he chose not to do so!
The food quality is mediocre, the prices are steep, and it is unusual for waiters to request tips in Paris.
The total cost of the meals was 82 euros, which included 2 meals and 2 beers. This price allowed us to dine at various places and enjoy delicious food.
Although my husband did not particularly enjoy his beef dishes, he did not complain about it. Therefore, I have no further comments on the matter. I gave a restaurant honest review a rating of 6 out of 10. It is better than average, which is quite positive! In general, it is satisfactory, except for one beef dish that falls below the expected quality.
A brief stroll, only a 2-minute walk away from our hotel, Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel.
My husband enjoys teaching couples how to pose for pictures. It brings him joy to see them happy. Naturally, they are eager to assist us in return for the photographs.
We have a preference for video over photo. Return to the hotel, unwind, and savour the breath-taking views of the Eiffel Tower.
The check-in time at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel hotel begins at 04:00 PM. We inquired about the possibility of an early check-in, and fortunately, the receptionist agreed without any additional fees.
We used an Uber to get to our hotel and got there early. The reception was really friendly and allowed us to check in early and check out late at 12pm. Check out is at 11am and check in at 3pm. We spent £550 for a night at this hotel in April 2024, which included breakfast. By signing up for membership, we got a discount rate that is non-refundable, and it also covered breakfast in the restaurant.
The price varies depending on the season, daily rate, and availability. However, it's worth noting that the current price has increased to £1252 per night [DELUXE ROOM, 1 king size bed, 1 sofa bed, balcony with view of Eiffel Tower] during the summer months of July to August 2024.
I was surprised by the doubling of the price, possibly due to July being the month of the Paris Olympics with high tourist numbers and almost full bookings.
We had an amazing experience at the hotel. The rooms were so cozy, and the hotel's proximity to the Eiffel Tower was just perfect. The breakfast buffet was top-notch, with delicious French croissants and cakes that were simply divine. The service was impeccable, with friendly waitstaff and a high level of attention to detail. I must say a big thank you for the amazing service provided.
Fruits in Paris are quite pricey, but they appear to be of high quality. When I tried a large mango in Paris for the first time, it cost me around £15. It was incredibly juicy with a natural sweetness and a mango flavor. While it wasn't the best mango I've ever had, it was still very good. One interesting thing to note is that the peel had an unusual floral scent, which added a unique but pleasant twist to its taste.
A helpful tip: the final light show ends at 11pm, and darkness doesn't set in until around 10pm in Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with breath-taking balcony views of the Eiffel Tower - it felt like a dream; such a beautiful and relaxing experience. Paris is a destination we have visited numerous times. With each visit, my husband and I become more romantic. We couldn't stop taking pictures and videos.
Having a forever love is a beautiful thing, and it's great that we're confident in the relationship we've built.
Our visit was truly unforgettable, thanks to everything being just right. We highly recommend it! Thank you for watching!

Enjoy our buffet breakfast and one of the best brunches in Paris at FRAME, the restaurant featuring a terrace with stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. I would rate this 9 out of 10. The views are absolutely breath-taking, so I highly recommend reserving a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
It's definitely a worthwhile, with rates varying from April to May 2024 at £550 to £600 per night, depending on the season and availability. However, it's important to note that the current price has risen to £1252 for a single night.
A helpful hint: the final light show ends at 11pm, and darkness doesn't fall in Paris until around 10pm.
The hotel's location is incredibly central to all the famous sights in Paris. We had a seamless check-in experience at the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel hotel. Despite arriving at 10:30 am, earlier than expected, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was already prepared for us.
The Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel hotel is truly a gem with its ideal location for sightseeing. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The breakfast served in the hotel restaurant was of excellent quality and reasonably priced considering the area. It was a true joy and worth every penny.
The ambiance was exquisite, the staff were incredibly professional, the tableware was stunning, and the food itself was simply perfect.
If you love coffee, feel free to order a hot cappuccino. It's absolutely delicious, and you can even ask for more than two hot drinks if you'd like :)
If you're looking for a leisurely breakfast with all the trimmings, definitely worth it.
I am a big fan of authentic honey, and this restaurant offers genuine honey for its customers. I thoroughly enjoyed a small bowl of it, which made me feel great and also helped to soothe my throat.
The orange juice was freshly squeezed, and all the hot food items including croissants were prepared right on the spot. I spent over an hour savouring it.
With its central location, we found it convenient to visit most attractions, and there was even a metro station just a short walk away.
We highly recommend this breakfast buffet and will definitely choose to stay here on our next visit to Paris!

The sun is shining brightly and the sky is clear, although there is a chance of unexpected rain. It's important to be aware of some Uber drivers who might not drop you off right in front of the Louvre. Instead, they may choose a more convenient spot for themselves, unless there are customers waiting to be picked up. I aim to walk less, as we have a full week ahead in Paris. Save your energy and make the most of it.
Don't forget to make a reservation on the website!
This is an ideal spot to begin your journey before heading to the Louvre. The vistas were absolutely breath-taking. We couldn't find a single thing to complain about, especially with the magnificent Louvre glass pyramid right in front of us.
The breath-taking views will leave you speechless, especially with the magnificent Louvre glass pyramid right in front of you.
The omelette was the only thing that was hot and decent. I wished I had toast and butter instead of croissants. However, it seemed like everyone was too busy, including my server who ignored me like he couldn't see me.
Despite my disappointment, I would still consider returning if I'm in the mood, perhaps trying out different options like desserts, coffee, or wine on my next visit to the Louvre.
Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend! Remember to stay positive no matter how challenging the situation may be. Taking care of your mind is crucial for maintaining good health :)
Since we first met in 2002, we've had our signature pose. Despite facing challenges and not having children, we still love each other. Let's take things easy but not easy, and focus on making our relationship stronger.
We love using Uber because it offers a user-friendly app, guarantees safety, and provides a reliable service for a comfortable and secure trip to our destination.

A charming restaurant situated just a 5 minute walk to Louvre museum. A flavourful sea bream filet with mustard sauce. I prefer sitting near windows in restaurants as it feels less confined. Cheers! Drinking beers makes you happier and healthier. It's good value compared to only 1 beer for 12 euros in many restaurants we tried.
The uber driver may suggest stopping at a train station, but it might not be the right direction. Keep an eye on your Uber journey maps and don't hesitate to refuse if you feel it's not the correct place. Leave a 1-star rating and feedback in uber app to warn others.
Le Train Bleu is located inside Gare De Lyon in Paris and has two Michelin stars. It offers one of the most luxurious train journeys in the world and is a must-visit when in Paris. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. We booked lunch in advance, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. Upon arriving early, we decided to take a walk the beauty entrance and were pleasantly surprised to hear the staff singing opera. My husband and I joined in for the fun and we enjoyed a lovely moment together.
Experience a beautiful moment by dressing elegantly and dining in enchanting restaurants that exude the ambiance of a majestic castle or the grandeur of a museum. Rest assured, the Le Train Bleu Michelin restaurant offers an English menu with a wide variety of options to choose from, including starters, fish dishes, vegetarian options, meats, salads and cheeses, desserts, as well as coffee, tea, beers, and wine.
The waiters are proficient in English, exhibiting great politeness and patience when responding to any inquisitive queries you may have. I have made the acquaintance of a delightful ladies who're exceptionally sweet.
As enthusiasts of beer, we are eager to try a sizable 50cl beverage - which is equivalent to 500ml - while exploring the city of Paris. The waiters at this establishment are all professionally trained, exhibiting their expertise in providing exceptional service. Beer options, Affligem €12 Heineken €11. You can enjoy a complimentary appetizer called - Amuses Bouches, without charge.
Complimentary amenities, including bread, cutlery, glasses, and serviettes, are commonly provided in restaurants throughout France. Furthermore, certain establishments offer appetizers at the commencement of the meal without additional charge. The roast leg of local lamb served from the carving trolley was delicious, as well as Michel Roastang's potato gratin dauphinois for 47 euros, Guinea Fowl Casserole for 39 euros, Alaska for 18 euros.
As a lover of good food, I was also very pleased with the quality of the dishes π The waiters even prepare them right in front of you π₯ what an amazing experience π The roasted lamb was surprisingly succulent and delectable, without a hint of dryness, while the sauce perfectly complemented its flavour. Additionally, the dish featured a delectable side of cheese and butter potatoes. The Guinea Fowl Casserole exceeded all expectations, offering a succulent and delightful taste that struck a perfect balance between savoury and sweet. Reminiscent of homemade, freshly-cooked meals, this dish left a lasting impression that was impossible not to savour and enjoy. Additionally, the lamb dish featured a delectable side of cheese and butter potatoes.
We encountered a pleasant young couple near our left next table who entertained us with their attempts to guess my husband's age - they started at 30 years off and then kept guessing until they got it right. We are supporting each other with photography and taking turns capturing memories, and conversed like long-time friends, which was quite surprising considering I am not typically a very social person.
As the waiter served our table, I regretfully realized that I had missed the spectacle of Alaska in flames. Nonetheless, the dessert he presented to us was a delight - a refreshing combination of creamy vanilla ice cream topped with a tropical sauce and sprinkled with tart pomegranate seeds.
I am pleased to see my husband taking on the role of a helpful photographer, offering his assistance to capture memories during the first and second difference guests at nearby table. Additionally, his photographs skills have been well-received by them. In fact, one gentleman was so appreciative of the photographs my husband captured that he expressed a desire to revisit those cherished.
We ended up spending three hours there without feeling rushed; the service was excellent. The interior was stunning, food amazing, staff friendly and helpful - all worth every penny. I have compiled a guide to the most charming cafes in Paris, discover them all through my link in bio π and as a food concierge, feel free to comment below for personalized restaurant recommendations in Paris.

Video part of 7:34, this was my first experience with an Uber (black) driver who initially drove past us. It is important to remember not to rush and to cancel the ride on your phone if you are unhappy with the service. Also, consider declining to give a low rating before entering the car.
We opted for Uber again for faster convenience getting back to our hotel before checking out. This time around we weren’t rushed allowing us enjoy & relax during our holiday stay in Paris. Hope these insights prove helpful. Thanks for watching and reading this. Subscribe & show your support with a thumbs up π
The hot chocolate was good but not as hot as I would have liked it. The cappuccino was hotter than the hot chocolate, it's rich and delicious, and not too sweet!
The omelette with side salad reminded of my home-cooked meals which was perfect. The croissant was fresh with a beautiful texture and not too buttery, which I really enjoyed.
After finishing our breakfast, we requested the bill from our waiter: 1 cappuccino - €8 1 hot chocolate with cream - €11.50 1 croissant - €3.50 1 omelette ham and cheese - €15
I used Uber again to call for a ride back to our hotel. This trip is part of our relaxing holiday in Paris where we are taking things slow and enjoying all that this beautiful city has to offer.

We opted to have our morning meal at O Coffee instead of the hotel's breakfast. We enjoy our afternoon tea time there, but in the morning, it was very crowded with a long line outside.
So we went to the flower shop and returned half an hour later. I ordered their famous breakfast menu with a side salad, which was incredibly fresh and perfect. This time, I requested bacon on top, which had a pork jerky-like texture and an unbelievable barbecue aroma from the kitchen.
The food and service were impeccable - truly unmatched anywhere else. My husband and I are coffee enthusiasts who brew our own coffee at home because we can't find good coffee locally. However, we thoroughly enjoyed cappuccino and a flat white is an espresso drink made with a double shot of espresso and steamed milk at O Coffee.
The free-range egg yolks were delicious with the cheesy sauce and avocados toast - truly amazing. It is incredibly gratifying to slice into the soft-boiled eggs. The yolks are cooked just right, with the whites perfectly firm. The sight of the golden yolks spilling out and their rich, creamy taste is simply delightful.
We love the taste of their coffee as well as the artistic designs on top, so beautiful and delicious. We appreciate quality over quantity when it comes to food choices.
I read about O Coffee's famous and freshly baked banana bread online so I decided to try it out - the banana flavour was incredible! It may be slightly sweet for some people but its unique toasted texture made it unforgettable.
The staff is friendly and speaks good English; they even kindly recorded a video for us during their busy period.
